Candelabra is basically a word used to describe two or more candlesticks joined together designed with arms or limbs that branch out from a central column, which hold the candles. Before the introduction of gas lamps and electricity the only source of light (at night) was a candle or fire, therefore most households possessed a Candlestick or Candelabra. In the present electrical day the Candelabra has become an ornamental accessory for many home owners and also a very highly valued item for collectors, especially those in the Antique trade.
